Calling All Members & Friends of CFIR:
The citizens of the State of Texas need your help! As in the founding of this great state, a call went out to protect its
people from a foreign invasion. In 1836,
it was repelled by the Texians (we were called Texians before we became Texans)
at the Alamo and our final Battle of San Jacinto. We won final independence as a sovereign
nation, and,nine
years later we became a state in the United States of America.
Texas is no longer for
Texans. Rep. Roberto Alonzo, (D-Dallas)
has introduced a bill that prohibits cities from restricting landlords on who
can rent homes from them – a direct criticism of Farmers Branch's efforts to
keep illegal immigrants from renting homes there.
This invasion is happening again. Not with the alarm of a gun shot, but with the approach of men in
business suits who want cheap labor, and who lobby our Texas Legislature with a
pen and the promise of money. We are
helping them with their goals by our apathy.
Millions
upon millions of illegal aliens have invaded this
country. They have changed the landscape
of our nation---most of it for the worst. However, is it truly their
fault? No! Who do we blame? We blame the employers - the disloyal
Americans who knowingly employ illegal aliens in the many levels of the
service
and construction industries.
We
have been told by many of our state legislators that we are
blaming the illegal alien and not penalizing the true greedy
culprit: the employer. Many politicians over the past several years
have told us they would
support and vote for legislation that did just that. Now they have
their chance!
Like Arizona and Oklahoma, we now have the means to change the
landscape of Texas for the better, and reverse the “human forming” of our
state. We now have the ability to send
people to their home country. This will
be done without deportations or threats of any kind. Just as illegal aliens walked across our
border silently, and employers hired them, so they will silently go home and
employers will pay the price in fines and/or jail time.
How will we do this? With
your help and the help of Representative Leo Berman of Tyler,
Texas. Our
Texas legislators only meet every two years. They are meeting from
January-May of 2009. Rep. Berman has introduced several
immigration related bills. The strongest
bill is HB 266. It will be the greatest
single act to change Texas in the 21st century. This bill, as in other
states, will enforce and make mandatory for all
Texas employers the use of the federal database called E-Verify. This
system i s 99.5% accurate. Every employer will verify the legal
residency of their prospective employee via website or telephone call.
If the illegal alien is kept from employment, he cannot work. If he cannot work, he cannot eat or support
himself or his family. The vast majority
of illegal aliens will SELF-DEPORT. At
the same time, employers will be fined and some will be convicted of a state
felony. Some will even serve jail
time. Don’t you think this will deter
illegal activity?
How can we get HB 266 passed? We need your help. We cannot do
this without every person who reads this letter to act. First, talk to, e-mail, educate, and ask for
help from all of your friends in this fight. Ask yourself and everyone you know in Texas
to:
1. Come with us on
Wednesday, January 28 to lobby the Texas Legislature on HB 266 and other
bills. We will be representing IRCOT,
the Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas. The legislators are most impressed by the
“physical” presence of Texans coming to Austin. One person represents hundreds and hundreds
of their constituents. More information
will be coming soon. Space is limited
on the bus and RSVP is required. You
may follow us in your personal car or meet us at the capitol as well.
2. If you cannot come
to Austin, we need you to call your state representative
and state senator and strongly ask for their endorsement and vote for HB 266
and other bills introduced by Rep. Berman.
We also need you to call every legislator in Austin and tell them you
support these bills as well.
3. We need you to call
our local radio shows like Mike Gallagher at 660 KSKY, JD Wells and Jeff Bolton
at 570 KLIF, and Mark Davis at 820 WBAP, and ask them to support HB 266. Ask them to put Rep. Leo Berman on their
shows to get the word out to all Texans. Ask for interviews of CFIR leaders on their show.
4. We need donations to
carry out this fight through the media. Open your hearts and your purses to the men and women who are out of a
job, displaced or affected by competing with illegal aliens for jobs. HB 266 will change this.
Folks, this is no longer a spectator sport. This is not the time to be an armchair
quarterback or a couch potato (use the analogy that fits). If you are reading this letter, we are
talking to you! Will you hear the call
or ignore our plea?
If you want to coordinate a caravan or something, let me know. I do plan to attend!!!
